With a bunch of other people, in a kind of summer camp location atmosphere. Planning a trip for tomorrow morning. I think 10:30's a little early to start stuff, but I'm getting used to the idea. People are dispersing, and getting ready. I'm hanging out with a couple of people I know. Should be leaving, but I feel like I'm waiting for something. Then I see my dad walking away. He's leaving work for the day. I quickly say goodbye, and catch up with him. He's walking to his car, and doesn't seem too talkative. My car's in another lot, so he says he'll meet me at home. I go to the lot, and walk in between a couple of cars, but I can't see mine. I hit the remote unlock, and see some lights flash. As I get to the car, the person next to me is starting their pickup. I get in, wait for them to leave, and then pull out of the lot and head right to avoid a cop car on the left. I'm in downtown Edmonton, trying to beat my dad home.
When I hit LL bridge, everything's covered in snow and the roads are all slippery. I drive under an overpass, but off the side of the road, through the supports on the right. I'm hoping a cop doesn't see that, but I figure I'll just show my license and everything'll be ok.
Then I'm heading up Scona road, but it's very difficult, because the roads are so slippery. I see my parents in the car heading back down the other way. My dad's driving. I think maybe they couldn't make it up all the way, started slipping down, and he turned the car around. I've discovered a new technique though, and it's working ok. I'm no longer in a car, and I'm crawling slowly up the road, which is now made of soft gingerbread, in giant pancake form. I reach a crest, and look back and to the right. My parents are in their car, with the headlights on, watching me. I raise a pancake, and show them how tasty they are, and start to eat it.
